Saúl Romero
Saúl Romero is professor in the Psychology Department at José Simeón Cañas Central American University (UCA). Romero worked as the national and regional coordinator of the migration and forced displacement program of Doctors of the World Spain-France. He has also been a consultant and facilitator of courses on migration and health, crisis management and violence against women war survivors for international NGOs. Romero has published his research on stories of Salvadoran youth migration and return as they relate to community development, the role of health care providers and teenage pregnancy, and other topics related to youth and violence. He is an active member of Asociación Pro-Búsqueda [Pro-Búsqueda Association], which focuses on finding children who disappeared during the Civil War in El Salvador.
