Roberto Urbina

Dimas Roberto Urbina was born in the Mesa Grande refugee camp in Honduras, where he lived for 6 years. He returned to El Salvador during the repopulation of Nueva Trinidad, Chalatenango. Besides the stories his family tell, Urbina has no memories of his life in Mesa Grande, but he would like to be able to travel back in time to remember it. In 2013, he moved to San José Las Flores, where he currently resides. Urbina graduated as an architect technician from the Technical Institute of Chalatenango. He currently works independently in topography, and since 2017, he has been the construction technician at the Río Sumpul Massacre Memorial, which is part of the Surviving Memory in Postwar El Salvador project. Ubina is known for his humbleness, for taking the initiative to collaborate with his community and for his enthusiasm for work.
