Owen Cook
Owen Cook recently graduated from the Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) program at Western University, Canada. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and Classics from the University of Victoria, as well as a professional specialization certificate in Collections Management. Archives and preservation of historical knowledge are his key professional interests, and he joined the Surviving Memory project as a full-time MLIS co-op student from January to April 2023 because the team’s focus on direct community engagement appealed to him. He comes from a background in museums and heritage institutions and joined the team to help with the project’s data management.
