Juan Andrés Bello
Juan Andrés Bello is one of the co-founders of the Surviving Memory in Postwar El Salvador. Bello is a Venezuelan documentary researcher and producer, and he directed and produced Norberto Amaya [Cantautor] [Norberto Amaya [Songwriter]] (2017) in collaboration with Surviving Memory. He also produced and directed Las Masacres de Chalatenango [The Chalatenango Massacres], a project supported by the Canada Council for the Arts (Explore and Create program) and the London Arts Council (Ontario), in collaboration with Asociación Sumpul [Sumpul Association] (2018-2021). The project documented the massacres that were perpetrated in Chalatenango, El Salvador, during the early years of the war, based on testimonials of victims and survivors. He teaches media production at the Faculty of Information and Media Studies, Western University (London, Ontario).
