Carranza-Hernández is also engaged in various other research projects that focus on i) Indigenous women's experience of colonialism in Peru, ii) migrants' pathways in and out of legal status, and iii) Central American's experience of migratory trauma and race in Toronto, Canada. He worked on photovoice projects with the Surviving Memory team from 2021-2022.
