Gabriela Miranda

Gabriela Miranda is a Master's student in Hispanic Studies at Western University, Canada. She has a degree in Legal Sciences with a specialization in Transitional Justice and is a registered lawyer in El Salvador. Her research areas are transitional justice, restorative justice, collective memory and human rights of victims of armed conflicts. She has worked as a judicial collaborator of the Supreme Court of Justice of El Salvador and as an assistant to victims of crime at the José Simeón Cañas Central American University (El Salvador). Miranda volunteers at the American Immigration Council, assisting refugees and individuals under the custody of the United States Customs and Border Protection office. She is currently conducting research on restorative justice in the context of the work on memory carried out in the Surviving Memory project to understand how the survivors of the armed conflict approach restorative justice.
