Diego González
Diego Gonzalez was born in Santa Tecla, El Salvador, and migrated with his family to London, Ontario, in 2002. He completed his Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature at Western University, Canada. He is interested in both Salvadoran and Canadian literature, but he is also interested in finding connections in literature from across the globe. His role in the project has involved transcribing the testimony of survivors. In 2020, he participated in a field course to learn about the state of water security in El Salvador and the surrounding region, as well as the legacy of the Civil War. González was a research assistant for the Surviving Memory project from 2020 to 2021.
