Carlos Chacón
Roberto Carlos Chacón is originally from El Higueral, San Francisco Morazán, Chalatenango, El Salvador. He is the son of Elena Chacón and Tránsito Gutiérrez, both survivors of the El Higueral Massacre on February 14, 1981. Chacón graduated as a computer technician at the Rivas La Palma Digital Centre. He is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the Asociación de Comunidades para el Desarrollo de Chalatenango [Association of Communities for the Development of Chalatenango, CCR], in charge of international sisterhood and of the communications for the communities. He is also part of the youth committee of the Surviving Memory project. Chacón is passionate about his work: he likes to animate events and enjoys working on historical memory, which he has always wanted to do. He considers himself a collaborator with the ability to manage community projects.
