Alexandru Roșu

Alexandru Roșu is a student at the University of Louvain LOCI (Faculty of Architecture), Belgium, who will graduate in 2024. His master’s dissertation in the Typologies Studio is supervised by professors Christine Fontaine, Gérald Ledent, and Cécile Chanvillard and assessed by Harold Fallon and Thomas Montulet. The research addresses the design of the commemoration sites of Guinda de Mayo (Cantón Los Amates), Gualsinga (Nueva Trinidad), and the memorial of the Comunidad Eclesial de Base [Ecclesial Base Community] in Segundo Montes, Morazán, El Salvador. His research interests include symbolism and the articulation of religious and civil spaces. After a study trip to El Salvador in January 2024, he contributed to the Sumpul River Massacre Memorial exhibition at the Documentation and Research Centre on Religion, Culture and Society (KADOC) at the Catholic University of Leuven (KU Leuven), Belgium, in March 2024.
