Alejandra Aguilar
Alejandra Aguilar is a doctoral student in Hispanic Studies at Western University. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Higher Education with a specialization in Special Education. She has worked in mental health with young high school students in Chalatenango, El Salvador. Aguilar has also been an independent consultant in psychological care for victims of social violence with an emphasis on forced displacement. Her research interests are in the fields of social or community psychology. Currently, her main research is the study of the mental health of the survivors of the Civil War in El Salvador.
